New Orleans is definitely one of the most haunted places in all of the United States. But since the beginning, the town has been haunted by ghost stories. Thibodaux has always been a town that had its fair share.
One of the main attractions in Thibodaux is Nicholls State University. But it is also home to some ghost stories.

Legend has it that Ellender Hall is haunted, with lights being switched off and on and doors opening and closing on their own. Some say it is the ghost of a student who died there in the 1960s.
Perhaps the most haunted location in the surrounding area is the Laurel Valley Plantation and Historic Village, pictured here.
