The Roman Candy company has been offering this nostalgic treat since 1915. The gourmet taffy initially sold for 5 cents, and that price remained until 1970. Even at a dollar a stick today, you still can’t beat—it’s like a taste of childhood in every bite.
You can always count on the oldest cathedral in the country to stay the same. Jackson Square with the Cathedral in the background has become an iconic New Orleans photo opportunity.

It’s the oldest continuously operated streetcar line m in the world! This particular line began in 1835, and each car operating on the line is a historic landmark. On a beautiful day, it’s a wonderful way to spend an hour or two gliding underneath all the majestic oak trees on St. Charles Avenue.
