You Just Might Be Dining With A Ghost At This One New Orleans Restaurant
New Orleans is no stranger to spirits, both the alcohol and the paranormal are fairly common in the city. Several paranormal investigators have come to this one restaurant and have reported hearing voices, strange noises, and are generally unable to debunk the occurrences they’ve experienced here. The restaurant has come to embrace this friendly ghost over the years, and they even set a table for him every night. Would you like to join him?

It’s believed that the building served as a holding facility for slaves going to auction in the early 1700s. In 1788, the Great New Orleans Fire partially destroyed the building, and afterwards the new order, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan spent years restoring the property and transforming it into his personal home. In 1814, he lost his home in a poker game, and rather than move out, he committed suicide on the second floor.

Guests and employees have reported seeing objects being moved around, glasses shattering, disembodied voices, and even unexplained sparkly lights/orbs.

He’s not the only spirit believed to be around the property. There seems to be a slightly more mischievous ghost in the Courtyard Bar. Three times since 2001, glasses have flown from behind the bar and shattered against the brick wall— 12 feet away!
