Ready to explore the spookier side of the Crescent City? New Orleans has long been known as a paranormal hotspot, attracting ghost hunters and paranormal investigators from all over the world. Whether you’re a believer in the paranormal or not, there’s one restaurant in the French Quarter that might just be one of the most haunted places in New Orleans. History and mystery combine with delicious Louisiana cuisine at Muriel’s, and you’ll want to check it out.
If you’ve ever spent any time in the French Quarter, chances are, you’ve come across this restaurant in the heart of Jackson Square.
Many believe that Mr. Jourdan still roams the property all these years later, often appearing as a ball of light near the Seance Lounge, the area where he took his own life.
While it appears that Mr. Jourdan is harmless, Muriel’s wants to make sure he feels welcome (it is his home, after all), and they always keep a table reserved for Mr. Jourdan set with bread and wine.
For more information, be sure to check out their website and give them a follow on Facebook.
