Of course, you’ll want to pop in the Madisonville Museum. Erected in 1911, this charming little building was originally the town’s courthouse and it listed on the National Register of Historic places.

Tiny but mighty, this state park clocks in at just under 100 acres, but it’s filled with lovely views of the river. If you have the time, take a tour of the historic Otis House, a late 19th century Queen Anne-Style house that’s been restored to its days of glory.
