There’s a new festival coming to New Orleans, and it’s a mac-and-cheese lover’s dream. Clear your weekend plans, because you’re not going to want to miss this.

The inaugural Nola Mac-N-Cheese Fest is taking over Louis Armstrong Park and you won’t want to miss it.

The festival will take place October 21 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The festival is free to enter and will feature mac-and-cheese dishes from fifteen local restaurants, as well as other foods.

Some of the restaurants participating this year include The Big Cheezy, House of Blues Restaurant & Bar, Melt, Voleo’s Seafood Restaurant, Atchafalaya, and many others!

The mac-and-cheese dishes will be judged by both professional and celebrity judges to decide who will take home the trophy (and bragging rights).

Judges include Chef Mogan Landry, Jay Ducote, the 610 Stompers, Trixie Minx, Evie Bories, as well as Jarrius "Little J.J." Robertson and Amanda Rougee will be judging for the kid’s choice award.
Dance into the night to the tunes of your favorite local bands. There will also be alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for sale.

John Boutte, Susan Cowsill, Grayson Capps, George Porter Jr. and Runnin’ Pardners, as well as the Fountainbleau High School Jazz Ensemble, and many others will all take the stage throughout the day.
The festival is free to enter, but you can purchase your food and drink tickets ahead of time to skip the lines.
