7 Little Adventures You Never Knew You Could Have In New Orleans

It may be hot outside, but that shouldn’t stop you from going out and exploring our beautiful city. Below we’ve got some of the best little adventures you can take in New Orleans that won’t take up too much of your time.
1. Paddle down the bayou

2. Take a nighttime swamp tour
You may have taken a swamp tour during the day, but you’ll experience Louisiana’s wetlands in a completely new light (or lack thereof) with a nighttime swamp tour. 3. Explore the Sculpture Garden at City Park
The Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden is located just outside of NOMA in City Park and is a delightful way to spend an hour or two of your day. There are more than 60 sculptures nestled along the footpaths and lagoons, collectively valued at $25 million. 1 Palm Dr., New Orleans, LA 70124.
4. Tour the Old New Orleans Rum Distillery
A favorite among locals, you can book a tour and learn about how they create all the delicious rums and the history of Celebration Distillery, the oldest premium rum distillery in the United States. 5. Take a nighttime bike tour
You’ll have an epic night riding around the streets of New Orleans with a group of your friends. You’ll tour the city while stopping off at local bars to freshen up your drink and learn about the area. 6. Visit the Pharmacy Museum
History buffs and medical professionals will absolutely love touring this fascinating museum. The museum itself is located at the site of the first licensed apothecary shop in the city, and it’s filled with tons of early medicines and tools. 7. Go Flyboarding
Adventure seekers will love getting to experience the feeling of flight with this relatively new activity. You’ll be propelled into the air by water, making you feel like you’re flying!
