While there’s certainly a special place in our hearts for time-honored traditions like Celebration in the Oaks or the Roosevelt Lobby displays, there’s one park near New Orleans that transforms into a festive winter village with so many lights, you may need sunglasses.

Christmas in Lafreniere Park returns for its 35th year this holiday season, and it promises to be a display so whimsical, it would even make the Grinch smile.

Every evening at dusk, 10 million LED lights are flipped on, illuminating dozens of elaborate set pieces, decorations, and displays.
