Driving in New Orleans can be pretty difficult. In fact, some studies have shown that driving in Louisiana in general is pretty hair-raising. And ever since the road construction has been going on throughout New Orleans, it can get really difficult. Here are some of the most frustrating intersections that you’ll find in New Orleans.

This one can be pretty tricky because you have to keep your eyes on two lanes of traffic while making a wide left turn. Definitely one where you want to keep your eyes on the prize.

This difficult intersection is right in the heart of New Orleans and is definitely a hairy one. With all of these boulevards criss crossing in New Orleans, it can be easy to end up going a direction you never intended.

This intersection is part of my daily commute, and it is so infuriating. Drivers wait until the very last minute to merge into the westbank lane, making people who just want to continue onto Claiborne stopped for minutes.

Once you finally get onto Claiborne, this next intersection can be really difficult. There is almost always a huge traffic jam here and lots of cars end up stuck in the middle of the intersection. It can take forever.

This is a very difficult spot where you can have trouble getting across with cars coming from River Road. For whatever reason it always feels like there is difficulty getting across the 3-way stop here.

This is another intersection that requires you to look alive. When you stop here, don't forget the bright red sign: DO NOT ENTER! Or you will be in some big traffic trouble.

Just looking at the birds-eye view of this intersection says it all. All of these intersecting roads that curve and shift make it pretty delicate to navigate.

This one has been under construction for so long, it's always a mess. Sometimes it is even completely closed. Hopefully when the construction is over it will clean up!
