From restaurants to theaters, these hidden gems may not look like much from the outside, but we promise they deserve a second look.
1. Dop Antiques
Royal Street may be known for having dozens of incredible antique shops peppered throughout the historic street, but a trip over to Dop Antiques on Jefferson Highway is an absolute must if you’re looking for antiques. 2. The Pharmacy Museum
Located in the heart of the French Quarter, this unassuming building is certainly worthy of a second look. 3. St. Roch Cemetery
New Orleans has some of the most unique cemeteries in the country, and it’s certainly one of the top tourist attractions when people visit the Big Easy. 4. Bayou Segnette State Park
Even though it’s not in New Orleans, it’s worth the 30 minute drive. Bayou Segnette State Park is a 700-acre park over in Westwego that caters to everyone. Whether you’re looking to do some fishing, canoeing, or stroll through the nature trails, this little state park is perfect when you need to get some nature in your life. 5. Mosca’s Restaurant
While you’re in Westwego exploring Bayou Segnette State Park, pop on over to Mosca’s for one of the most delicious meals of your life. 6. Alcee Fortier Park
Established in 1926, this little pocket park is easily missed but worth a visit. The 39-acre triangular park is lined by beautiful ancient oaks and lush greenery. It’s the perfect little inconspicuous park to sit for a spell and read a book without too much city noise. The park is located in Esplanade Ridge and bordered by Esplanade Avenue, Grand Route St. John Street, and Mystery Street.
7. Museum of Death
