This replica of an English Norman Keep Castle is the brainchild of Dr. Mark Belcher, who originally built the castle as his personal residence.
Dr. Belcher saw a movie called "The War Lord" in 1971 which inspired him to build his very own castle.

After years of research, architectural designs, and dreams, he finally built his dream home. Construction took about two years, and an over 85,000 bricks!

The walls in several locations are 2.5 feet thick, strong enough to withstand a cannonball. The dungeon (yes, dungeon!) is 13 feet below the castle, and many of the rooms were fashioned after other castles. For instance, the study was fashioned after Castle Coch in Wales.
Dr. Belcher sold the castle in 1999.
