The Haunted Playground In New Orleans That Will Send Shivers Down Your Spine
It should come as no surprise, but New Orleans is known to have a few paranormal hot spots around the city. Although it has been closed down for a number of years, several people claim to have had supernatural experiences at this once-popular amusement park, so let’s take a look at its history and some of the creepy occurrences that have happened here.

The park originally opened in 2000 under the name Jazzland. Six Flags purchased the park in 2002, and the park underwent some upgrades the following year before officially being renamed "Six Flags New Orleans."

The amusement park sat in 4-7 feet of floodwater for over a month, and never reopened to the public.

There have been several movies filmed in the location, including Killer Joe, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Deepwater Horizon and Jurassic Park.

While the park is closed and trespassing is prohibited, that hasn’t stopped some urban explorers from sneaking in and getting these hauntingly beautiful photographs.

Not hard to believe, considering how creepy the place looks.

In some areas of the park, lights have been known to come on or at least flicker. Which is truly bizarre, considering there is no electricity throughout the park. Could it be the spirits from days long gone, trapped inside an amusement park? We may never know.
