Previously two live oak in what was once a secluded place in the city, the dueling oaks was the place where men went to settle their differences by duel. Some people met their deaths here, including Micajah Green Lewis, C.C. Claiborne's private secretary. You can still feel the energies of conflict and death visiting here.
This luxury hotel in the CBD is an amazing place to spend a weekend in New Orleans. But many have reported hauntings and ghost sightings here, including spirits laughing in halls, being seen lingering in the hotel bar, and many more.

This unique mansion in the French Quarter became infamous because of the foreign Turkish owner who moved in during the late 19th century. This Turkish foreigner moved in with an entire entourage--and that entire entourage met their untimely death in the mansion. Rumor says that the Turkish man was actually a relative of the Sultan in Turkey, and was escaping his death in New Orleans. Eventually his past caught up with him, though, and he is said to have been buried alive here.

This majestic hotel in the heart of the French Quarter is known for its hauntings and spirits. A particular ghost that stands out is the tale of Maurice Begere. While his parents were at the opera, Maurice died in the hotel from a fever on the 14th floor. Guests say that they still see the spirit of the young boy wandering the halls.
