Summer was meant for spending your days on the beach. While you could certainly trek it to the usual Gulf Coast spots in Alabama or Florida, but there’s a beautiful beach right in our own backyard and you’re going to love it. Gas up the car, because today we’re heading down to Grand Isle to sit back, relax, and sink those toes in the sand.
Grand Isle is known for having some of the most incredible, world-class fishing, but there’s another natural attraction that’s worthy of a road trip from any corner of the state.
Louisiana’s only inhabited barrier island features seven miles of beautiful public beaches to enjoy, making it a great spot for an afternoon adventure the whole family will love.
You'll have plenty of space to sprawl out, and in fact, you might end up having the beach all to yourself. It’s the perfect beach for anyone who enjoys those peaceful beach walks along the surf. Keep your eyes on the shoreline for any seashells for you to take home as a souvenir.
After a full day of fun in the sun, a tranquil sunset is just the perfect way to end the day.
Who knew you could have views like this without ever having to leave the state?
