The 1,786-acre state park is a relatively new addition to the Louisiana State Park system, having opened only 11 years ago, but its sheer size and beauty will mesmerize you from the moment you arrive. One of the park’s main attractions is the Gorge Run Trail, a primitive loop trail that will lead you all around the park, showcasing some of the scenic beauty in Washington Parish.
