Storyland in City Park on Victory Ave. is one of the most iconic playgrounds in the city. It is filled with characters from all of your favorite fairy tales, like the little mermaid pictured here. In the past, each character had their own song to sing, but that's been changed over the years.

One of the newer additions to the playground scene, this is a special spot. Found inside of the Audubon Zoo, the Cool Zoo is the perfect place to beat the heat in New Orleans. The huge white alligator is legendary.

If you are a child who grew up in New Orleans, there's a good chance that you've visited the Children's museum before. There are some incredible exhibits there, like creating a child size bubble. But of course my favorite was always the child-size Winn-Dixie, pictured here.

For an indoor playground like no other, visit BooKoo Bounce. It's found in the Elmwood area and has tons of awesome equipment for kids to explore. You are going to fall in love with the bounce houses and the games.

This precious little playground is found in the Lower Garden District. It is pretty small but beautifully designed. And you will always find a group of kids having a blast here throughout the day.

Audubon Park is huge and has lots of fun things for kids to do. There are a couple of playgrounds on the grounds, some closer to the entrance on St. Charles, one closer to Magazine St. Not to mention all of the amazing birds that call this park home.

There is an incredible park just over the lake from New Orleans at Fontainebleau State Park. There is an awesome splash pad playground right on the lake. It makes for a full and fun day of recreation for the whole family.

This playground is an awesome community spot. The equipment is kept clean and there is always a nice and comforting feeling here. It's one of my favorite places to visit.
