Welcome to a bit of New Orleans restaurant tradition, The Original French Market Restaurant and Bar, a spot that's been serving fresh seafood since 1803. This historic spot has been a great source for seafood lovers to get their fix.
Just like all of the best restaurants do, French Market Restaurant makes everything from scratch daily. With some of the freshest seafood around, it's the best way to serve it.
No canned or boxed recipes whatsoever is a welcome mantra, and most of the cooking still follows Grandma Annie Marullo's original dishes from over 80 years ago.
The menu items are full of seafood options, including oysters, crawfish, shrimp, alligator, crab, salmon, and more. The hardest part is choosing which one of these amazing recipes to try first!
As with any great restaurant, you won't want to leave without a taste of homemade dessert. Make sure you have a slice set aside to enjoy during your meal. There's not much better than a bite of homemade dessert, that's for sure.
The Original French Market Restaurant is open from noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
