The Brennan Family is legendary in New Orleans for their numerous upscale restaurants that offer amazing food and amazing service. But of all the different spots, Mr. B's is still one of my favorites. Their legendary BBQ Shrimp is truly something special. But they also have fresh perspectives on classic dishes, like this panko crusted shrimp with tasso and wilted spinach.

To truly get a sense of what a family owned traditional restaurant means, visit Antoine's. They truly know what it means to offer Southern hospitality and incredible New Orleans classics. And the decor they have in the various dining rooms will blow you away. Along with the amazing cocktails.


When you are looking for Italian-Creole comfort food, there is no better place to turn. The turtle soup here will have your mouth watering. And there is always a smiling staff member here ready to make your meal a little more pleasant.


When you want soul food like you remember your mom making, Dooky Chase's is the place to visit. Leah Chase has become a legend in New Orleans for her amazing wisdom and incredible cooking chops. Her passion shines through all of the meals you have here.

This is a truly neighborhood-centered spot where the food is always on point. The pizza here is great, but they also have amazing brunch options. And there is always a smiling face to make you feel welcome and part of the family here.


There are so many different Vietnamese options in New Orleans, but Pho Tau Bay is definitely one of my absolute favorites. They survived a lot of difficulty after Katrina flooded a number of their locations. And now with their renovated spot on Tulane, the pho and bun is always amazing.

For over 30 years now Five Happiness has been making people feel at home and offering great chinese food. It's also one of the most beautifully decorated Chinese restaurants in the entire city. They truly have some really great lunch specials as well.


Since opening in 2008, brunch in New Orleans has never been quite the same. Now with numerous locations all throughout the city, the family run nature of this spot still shines through. And their various eggs benedict options are all awesome.


Another restaurant within the Brennan family, this City Park side spot is really something special. They offer up new takes on some classic fare as well as a beautiful dining experience with a view. Hard to go wrong.
