Take These 3 Country Roads Near New Orleans For A Gorgeous Scenic Drive
Anyone who has lived in New Orleans for a while knows how important it can be to get away from it all from time to time. If all you have is a car, you are in luck. There are some beautiful drives you can take from New Orleans that will transport you to a whole different world of Louisiana. Here are three of them.

Travel Down Hwy 90 until you reach LA-1 and you'll be treated to a long and winding drive down LA-1 to Grand Isle. You'll reach the LaRose bridge, pictured here, right before Cut Off, LA.

If you want another excursion where you reach the Gulf of Mexico, take River Road south towards Port Sulphur. Stella Plantation, pictured here, will be one of your first stops.

The third relaxing drive you could take is up river towards Baton Rouge on River Road, where you will see a large number of restored plantation homes. Destrehan plantation is one of the closest to New Orleans.
