It's also called a living museum because they host regular community meetings and other events. Truly a gem that will give you a sense of what the Lower 9th ward has been through over the years.
2) Old St. Patrick’s Church, 724 Camp St.

This church was completed in 1840 and it is truly a hidden gem. It's one of the earliest and most beautiful examples of Gothic Revival in North America. The interior, pictured here, is completely breathtaking.
3) Edgar Degas House, 2306 Esplanade Ave.

This house is the place where the impressionist painter Edgar Degas stayed while on a journey to New Orleans when visiting from France. He created some really beautiful pieces of art while staying here, and the museum/Bed and Breakfast is awesome to check out.
