New Orleans isn’t known for BBQ, but we’ve still got several spots around the Crescent City where you can feast on delicious BBQ. If you’re up for a drive to Metairie, there’s an unassuming little building that’s smoking up some of the best BBQ you’ve ever tasted and not only that, but they’ve got some killer po’boys too! Let’s check it out.
Buddy’s Kitchen has been around since 1961 when they were originally located Uptown over on Oak Street.
Since they moved to Metairie in 1975, they’ve still kept their loyal following, treating their customers to mouthwatering BBQ, po’boys, and fried chicken.
The BBQ is worth the trip alone. Low and slow is the method here, and it's fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. Pulled pork, brisket, or ribs. Whatever your BBQ preference is, you'll fall in love with the BBQ here.
Piled sky-high with all your favorite toppings, these po'boys are truly something special. And with over 20 different po'boys on the menu, you'll find yourself coming back again and again to try them all.
One thing you should certainly try is their famous fried chicken. Pictured below is their famous Chicken Loaf, which features 1/2 of a fried chicken served on delicious garlic bread.
