You’ll have a memorable experience over at the Pharmacy Museum. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building was once an apothecary owned by the first licensed pharmacist in the country, Louis J Dufilho, Jr. You’ll learn about past medical procedures, medicinal herbs, and even some gris-gris potions used by Voodoo practitioners. In 1988, artist Kenny Hill purchased a plot of land, and began building sculptures. In less than 10 years, there were more than 100 amazing sculptures. Primarily religious, the figures are a mixture of Biblical reference and good vs. evil. In 2000, he was evicted for not keeping the grass and weeds under control. The site was gifted to Nicholls State University and opened to the public in 2002. A walk through these colorful gardens is certainly a memorable experience. 8. Take a night time bike tour
