This 350 park is the perfect spot to spend the afternoon with your family. Even though its just on the outskirts of New Orleans in Marrero, we’re still including it in this list because it’s just so beautiful. The preserve’s 23,000 acres include bayous, swamps, and marshes as well as the opportunity to see tons of wildlife. The boardwalk trails offer visitors the chance to see parts of Louisiana’s natural landscape that you can’t get to by car or even by boat. 7. Mardi Gras World
