BBQ and milkshakes? We know what you’re thinking. It may seem like a strange combination, but we promise you, it works. This Mid-City restaurant has some of the best BBQ in New Orleans, and you can wash it down with one of their massive milkshakes. Let’s check it out.
When it comes to BBQ, a trip to Frey Smoked Meat is a no-brainer. What started as a humble booth for the popular charity "Hogs for the Cause" back in 2013 gained such a huge following that they opened a restaurant in 2016, much to the delight of hungry locals.
Their unique, 18-foot hand-built bar is the perfect spot to gather with your friends. Featuring over 40 different beers and more than 50 different whiskeys, it’s the ideal location to watch the game or just to gather with loved ones after work.
Low and slow is the method here, making for some melt-in-your-mouth BBQ. Their menu features all the traditional BBQ favorites like pulled pork, smoked chicken, brisket, and more.
If you're in the mood for a burger, you can't go wrong with their mac & burger. These half-pound flame grilled patties are topped with a heaping scoop of their homemade jalapeño mac & cheese and special burger sauce. This is the type of burger you'll need utensils for.
These things are a meal of their own. From their cookie monster shake to their mint chocolate chip shake, you’ll find yourself coming back again and again to try them all.
