Have you been to Abita Springs yet? If you live in New Orleans, your answer should be yes. This darling town is just outside of New Orleans, in our backyard! Just go north, crossing the causeway and through Mandeville to Covington, and you’ll find Abita Springs just east. There are so many amazing sights and sounds to check out at this special place; we’re sure it’s going to make your heart sing. Here are some of the favorite things we like to do when we have a day to spend in Abita Springs!
This community centered diner is one of the favorite spots in the town, with a huge menu offering up delicious American and Louisiana inspired favorites that will get you going in the morning!
This gorgeous town park features the Abita Springs gazebo, a town center that hosts all of the most important events and celebrations that take place here.
This darling museum is full of relics from the past as well as tchotchkes and kitsch items that will definitely make you smile. The collection of oddities includes all kinds of strange things that you simply won’t see anywhere else!

A day in Abita Springs wouldn’t be complete without a tour of the legendary Abita Beer Brewhouse! The history and brewing process will be gone over as you check out their recently renovated brewery. Guided Tours are given in the afternoons from Wednesday – Sunday, check website for specific times.
