But the building it is housed in is much older, dating back to the early 19th century.
From the beginning of this building's history, there are stories of ghosts swirling around.

The man who originally owned the land this building was built on was named Claude Trepagnier. The original carriageway that he built in the late 18th century is said to be haunted.
Later, the owner of this building was known as Jean Baptiste Destrehan, and he built a lovely mansion - but it was lost in the fire of 1788.

And it is the ghost of the man who rebuilt the building that is now haunting Muriel's today, Pierre Antoine Lepardi.
