When you think of bridge trails in Louisiana, you probably think of boardwalk trails. After all, when a good chunk of your state is filled with marshes, bayous, and swamps, boardwalks are often the best way for us to traverse through these famous wetlands. There’s one incredible park in the northeastern part of the state that’s home to one of the most unique bridge trails in Louisiana, and it’s the perfect outdoor adventure the entire family will enjoy.
Kiroli Park is one of the most beloved parks in the Monroe/West Monroe area.
Known for its inclusive playgrounds, immaculately-kept grounds, and sprawling green space, Kiroli Park is one of the most popular parks in northeastern Louisiana.
The outer loop trail is a unique bridge trail in Louisiana that will take you all around the park for a quick and easy two-mile trek through some truly stunning scenery.
It's not every day you come across a covered bridge in Louisiana. This might be the only one in the state!
The bridges you'll come across along this trail are what make this place extra special. If you thought a covered bridge was unique, wait until you see the suspension bridge!
A far departure from the boardwalk trails you often see in the southern part of the state, taking a walk across this bridge trail in Louisiana is one adventure you won't soon forget.
Don't worry, you're not going over massive crevasses or canyons (this is still Louisiana, after all)... just a slight bit of elevation to cross over some of the less even ground in this part of the park.
The trail is great for families with kids of all ages, and feel free to bring your pup along for the outing, too!
There's even a dog park here, so after you enjoy this bridge hike you can take your fur baby off to explore even more.
Kiroli Park is always hosting special events and adding new features, so be sure to give them a follow on Facebook so you can stay up to date. For more adventures, check out some of our favorite boardwalk trails in Louisiana.
