Terrebonne Parish. The researchers measured remoteness by how far you could travel before crossing a road. In swampy Terrebonne, the measure was 22 miles. Cocodrie, Louisiana, is one of those small little towns on the marshes of Louisiana. Once I got a look at these pictures, I could see why it was named as so remote!
