During the early morning hours of June 27, 1957, Hurricane Audrey struck the shores of Southwestern Louisiana and Southeastern Texas, causing enormous damage and a huge loss of life. As more recent hurricanes have tended to detract attention from this atrocious storm, we wanted to take the time remember all the live lost for everyone in Louisiana.
Were you around during the time of Audrey? We would love it if you could share any memories you have of this storm and its aftermath! And please do pass this along so that the next generation of Louisiana residents will remember this storm. Thanks for sharing 🙂
