11 Ways To Have The Most Louisiana Day Ever

Have you ever just wanted to spend the day soaking up our state? We were thinking: What would the most Louisiana day ever look like? We put our heads together and came up with this—a true example of Louisiana living. Now just close your eyes and pretend you have the day off of work to do these 11 things:

1. Start the day with a heaping up of Community Coffee.

2. And then a full breakfast—with grits, sausage, and a biscuit.

3. Then it’s time to relax on your porch … or your neighbors porch if you don’t have one.

4. Make sure your Catahoula (or other dog) has had a chance to go out.

5. Take a drive to the nearest body of water.

6. Fish for the rest of the morning until you get hungry again.

7. Drive over to the nearest seafood shack and have a feast of at least 5-8 pounds of crawfish.

8. Go ahead and have yourself an Abita beer while you’re at it.

9. Then watch the sunset over that body of water.

10. Pull up to your local bar where a musician you went to high school with is playing and listen to some tunes.

11. Get yourself home and have a bowl of the beans and rice you had cooking all day.
