Owner and head chef Michael Alfandre has more than 30 years of culinary experience. Mason's Grill actually started as a coffee shop in the beginning. Michael slowly started adding breakfast, lunch and dinner items to the menu and 20 years later it's one of the most popular eateries in Baton Rouge.

All of their burgers are dressed with lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, and onions and come with your choice of fries, coleslaw or onion rings. And you can substitute the beef patty for a veggie patty if you'd prefer.

This burger was featured in the Food Network Magazine, and for good reason: it's a half pound beef patty stuffed with jalapeños, topped with sautéed shrimp, jack cheese, and then more jalapeños.

There's a reason they've been voted #1 best burger by both the Food Network and Zagat.
Every Friday they feature a specialty burger, so be sure to follow them on Facebook to stay up to date!
