The Best Louisiana Meals Are Found At Marilynn's Place, A Converted Gas Station In Louisiana
The best meals are often hidden away in unassuming exteriors, but as we all know, you should never judge a book by its cover. That certainly is the case then when you stroll up to Marilynn’s Place, a converted gas station that’s serving up some amazingly good home-cooked meals. Let’s check it out.

You can find it at 4041 Fern Ave., Shreveport, LA 71105.

The open-air restaurant is just perfect this time of year.

How about a big plate of crawfish étouffée, gumbo, or red beans and rice?

In addition to overstuffed po'boys and salads, they often feature daily specials that are mouthwateringly good.

Pictured above is one of their daily specials - shrimp gnocchi tossed in a white wine cream sauce with loads of garlic, onions, and cherry tomatoes. Yum!

Because the dessert menu will satisfy anyone's sweet tooth.

Nothing screams "New Orleans" like biting into a hot beignet doused with powdered sugar. An order of these plus an order of their banana's foster and you'll practically be doing a second line out of the restaurant.
