The Louisiana Ghost Story That Will Leave You Absolutely Baffled
Are you a believer in the paranormal? There are dozens of plantations, hotels, bars, and buildings peppered throughout Louisiana where things happen that just can’t be rationally explained. There’s one particular plantation near Natchitoches that has had so many spiritual encounters, it has attracted the attention of several paranormal investigators who have gone in and come away with some seriously spooky experiences.

By 1860, it was one of the biggest cotton plantations in the area. The plantation took a hit during the Civil War. Union troops burned many of the crops, set fire to the main house, and many of the family members were wounded or killed.

There’s one story that a Union Major died in that room after being poisoned by Confederate soldiers. People who have slept in that room have claimed to have seen the Major’s face in one of the windows of that room.

Ghostly figures resembling soldiers have been seen roaming the property, and the motion detectors surrounding the main house have been known to go off, but when they look at the tapes… no one is there. Could it be the spirits of the slaves and soldiers that died here?
