The weather is just too perfect not to be spending it outside, and we’ve got the ideal spot for a fall adventure. Lace up your hiking boots and gas up the car, because the Louisiana State Arboretum is calling your name, and now is the perfect time to hit the trails. You can even make a weekend out of it and spend a night in the cabins at Chicot State Park. Sounds perfect, right? Let’s take a closer look.
Established in 1961, the Louisiana State Arboretum was the first state-supported arboretum in the United States.
Luckily, the Louisiana State Arboretum is located within Chicot State Park, which offers cabin rentals as well as primitive campsites and RV hookups. Hiking the trails during the day and sit ting around by a campfire at night sounds like the perfect weekend, right?
