Every now and then, you just need to go for a drive. Hitting those back roads to take in the scenery and jam out to your favorite music can be a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Louisiana has some amazing scenic roads that’ll take you miles and miles away from it all, but there’s one in particular you should really check out.

It runs through the Kisatchie forest, between Highway 117 and 119.

But you'll want to pull over and take in the views, so plan for a couple of hours.
