The Kisatchie High School was once a thriving center for education, but now sits abandoned, in the middle of the Kisatchie National Forest. Nestled deep within the Kisatchie National Forest in the tiny town of Provencal lies an abandoned building that’s slowly being reclaimed by nature.

This would be the Kisatchie High School, which was founded in 1912 after consolidating three other nearby schools.

By 1920, the school had outgrown its building and a bigger building was needed.
