When it comes to Italian food, few compare to Mosca’s. The restaurant has been churning out some of the most authentic, delicious Italian cuisine in Louisiana for decades, and no matter where you’re coming from, we can promise you it’s worth the drive to taste it. Let’s take a closer look at why this humble little Italian restaurant has become quite the popular eatery for over 70 years.
For a mouthwatering Italian meal, head to Mosca’s in Westwego.
Mosca’s was opened in 1946 by Provino Mosca, who came to America from Italy in 1913. After originally settling in Chicago and opening up his own restaurant in the Windy City, he visited New Orleans and quickly fell in love with the Big Easy. After a few years, he decided to relocate his business and founded a charming little restaurant on the West Bank. The exterior may look unassuming, but we promise you, the food will make your taste buds explode.
Not much has changed in the 72 years since Provino opened the doors to this timeless restaurant.
And that’s one of the reasons Mosca’s has such a loyal following. Louisianians have been returning to Mosca’s year after year because this is a place you can rely on for an exceptional experience. From the atmosphere to the food, you’re guaranteed to have a memorable meal that you won’t soon forget.
Even something as simple as the spaghetti and meatballs will render you speechless - your mouth will be full until the very last bite!
You can find Mosca’s at 4137 US-90, Westwego, LA 70094. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. For more information visit its website and follow along on its Facebook page.
