Few foods are as iconic as the po’boy when it comes to Louisiana foods. While it may have originated in New Orleans, you’ll find po’boys on menus all across the state, but there’s one humble joint that’s serving up some of the best po’boys in Louisiana and you need to swing by. Buffi’s Peauxboys takes po’boys to new levels, so roll up your sleeves and let’s dig in:
Sitting pretty on the corner of Broad and Bilbo Street, Buffi’s Peauxboys is a hidden gem in Lake Charles.
Located just a stone’s throw away from the beautiful lake, it’s the perfect spot to pop in and grab some lunch before or after enjoying the waterfront.
Inside, large windows let in plenty of light and provide the perfect atmosphere for a casual meal.
BBQ pulled pork, kicken chicken, and boiled crawfish po’boys are just a few of the po’boys on the menu. Of course, you can also build your own po’boy if you’d like.
The shrimp chowder is my recommendation, but loaded potato and red beans and rice are also delicious options! Plus, there’s always a special soup of the day as well as several salads if you want a lighter option.
In addition to gourmet po'boys, Buffi's also offers some seriously loaded spuds.
Visit Buffi’s website for a full menu and be sure to follow Buffi’s Peauxboys on Facebook so you never miss out on any specialty creations and plate lunches.
