Located on the shores of a scenic, 2,700-acre man-made lake, Poverty Point Reservoir State Park is just the ticket for when you need to get away for a couple of days.
This northeastern state park is a fisherman’s paradise. Bring your rod and reel and you might just catch any number of fish in the reservoir, including largemouth bass, crappie, and channel catfish.
Since the park is within the Mississippi Flyway region, birdwatcher’s will delight in the many different species of feathered friends that can be spotted in the area.
The cabins include everything you'll need for a relaxing getaway. Just bring some food and a good book, and you're all set! And the views are simply mesmerizing.
