The Pea Farm is an old abandoned penal colony outside of Shreveport that is entirely off limits to anyone. Trespassing here is illegal—but of course some people just cannot keep their curiosity at bay. Luckily for you, that means you can take a photo tour of this place right from the comfort of your home. Prepare to be creeped out!

The Pea Farm can be found outside of Shreveport on West 70th Street, about two miles from Watertown.
As you can see, the area is fenced off, and trespassing on the property is most definitely illegal.
But of course, that hasn't stopped some intrepid explorers from setting their sights here.

The reason there is interest in the pea farm is because of all the ghost and creepy stories that surround it.
This building was established as a penal farm in 1905 as the Caddo Parish Penal Farm.

It was meant to be a 'self-sustained' jail, meaning that those incarcerated here grew the food that they ate themselves, and sold leftovers for the jail's operations.
