1. The Myrtles Plantation
Known as one of "America's Most Haunted Homes", the Myrtles is definitely one of the more well known haunted attractions in Louisiana. Built in 1796, the plantation's most well-known ghost is Chloe, a slave who died after poisoning the owner's wife and children. Located at 7747 U.S. Highway 61 St. Francisville, LA 70775
2. Le Pavillon Hotel
Le Pavillon first opened in 1907 and was called the New Denechaud Hotel. Its seen a few different owners throughout its history, as well as a few name changes. With a history as rich as Le Pavillon, seems about right that it would have some ghostly spirits, right? One paranormal investigating team visited the hotel and said that there's close to 100 spirits that haunt the property. They believe the reason for such high paranormal activity is that the land that it sits on is actually a portal to the other side. Frequently spotted on the first floor lobby is a couple from the 1920s. Both are well-dressed, and they've been seen walking down the halls, towards the elevator, but then they disappear. 3. Andrew Jackson Hotel
Before it was a hotel, it was a boarding school. Between the yellow fever epidemic and the great fire of New Orleans, a a lot of people died in the building. It's said that five boys who died in the fire still haunt the building. Located at 919 Royal St, New Orleans, LA 70116
4. The Biscuit Palace
This little guest house is home to a resident ghost who allegedly likes to go through your belongings, and has been known to open drawers and doors. Located at 730 Dumaine, New Orleans, LA 70116
5. Nottoway Plantation
Built in 1859, the Nottoway Plantation is the South's largest antebellum mansion, and room 14 seems to be particularly haunted. One guest claimed that she was showering and the lights started flickering and she felt a hand on her neck. The staff have said that several guests end up switching rooms or leaving altogether. 6. Dauphine Orleans Hotel
There's a few different ghosts that people have seen around this hotel. One is a woman in her wedding dress, one if a Confederate soldier in his uniform. Hotel employees have had many strange occurrences here, from glasses and silverware dropping off tables, to shelves of brochures tumbling down for no apparent reason. The most chilling incident, perhaps, was when one employee came to work one morning and witnessed a bar stool levitating in mid air. Located at 415 Dauphine Street New Orleans, LA 70112.
7. Hotel Bentley
Joseph A. Bentley opened this hotel in 1908 and legend has it his spirit still roams the top floor of the hotel. There's also a story of a woman who fell down the elevator shaft, and people have claimed to have seen her. Located at 200 Desoto St, Alexandria, LA 71301
8. Hotel Monteleone
During the late 1800s a family was staying on the property when their toddler son developed a fever and passed away. Several guests have claimed to have seen the figure of a young toddler on the 14th floor. Located at 214 Royal Street New Orleans 70130
9. Oak Alley Plantation
There have been multiple ghostly sightings at this oak-tree lined mansion. A group of workers were leaving the plantation one night after an event and noticed a light was on in the lavender room. All four women confirm that the light was off when they left the plantation. Then, they say the figure of a women gazing back at them through the window. 10. Omni Royal Orleans Hotel
Once the city's slave market before becoming a hotel, there have been a lot of reports of physical manifestations, lights and faucets turning on and off, and toilets flushing when no one is around. Located at 621 St Louis St, New Orleans, LA 70130
11. Ormond Plantation
Built in 1790, the Ormond Plantation has had reportings of ghostly figures since 1880. Ten years after the home was finished, it was the center of a slave uprising. The leader of the rebellion was caught, and while he was being punished he put a curse on the master and the plantation. The plantation saw multiple owners in the years following, every owner falling victim to disease, being shot, or simply vanishing. Located at 13786 River Rd, Destrehan, Louisiana 70047
12. T'frere's House Bed & Breakfast
The resident ghost on the grounds is Amelie. Amelie died by falling in a well, though it's unknown if she was pushed or fell in on her own. Legend says she is buried on the property because the church refused to bury her in the cemetery because of the possibility that her death was a suicide. 13. Woodland Plantation
Disembodied voices, footsteps, and flickering lights are just some of the experiences people have reported. Some have even seen full bodied apparitions near the old slave quarters (which were destroyed during a hurricane years ago). Located at 21997 Highway 23 West Point A La Hache, LA 70083
