There’s nothing better than sitting down to a huge plate of pasta. When the urge to splurge on a fabulous meal strikes, head over to Arabella Casa Di Pasta in New Orleans. This quirky eatery is home to some of the best homemade pasta in Louisiana, and you’ve got to try it. Let’s check it out:
Sitting pretty on St. Claude Avenue in the Crescent City, Arabella has been a favorite for Marigny residents since it opened in 2014.
Originally, the eatery began as a humble pop-up in the back of a wine bar. It only took four months to win over the hearts (and stomachs) of locals before they opened up their own shop.
When you think about homemade pasta dishes, your mind typically goes to fine-dining, white table cloth restaurants. But not here! Arabella has decorated the dining room and outdoor patio with 80s and 90s pop culture, comic books, and tons of Star Wars memorabilia.

The casual pasta house keeps it simple: fresh, handmade pasta, a few sauces, and proteins.
Each dish is named after a pop culture reference, like the John Belu-Cheese bowl. This fan favorite includes a creamy Jack Daniels whiskey sauce over chicken, bleu cheese crumbles, green onions, and chicken cracklin’ over a bed of homemade rigatoni. Yum!
Of course, you can always go with the classic spaghetti and meatballs.
