Downtown Breaux Bridge is a wonderful area filled with all the staples of a small town: antique shops, boutiques, art galleries and restaurants line the street and make for a perfect way to spend the day.

Just south of Breaux Bridge is Lake Martin, a wildlife preserve and rookery.

You can walk (or drive) along the edge of the lake and spot alligators, turtles, nutria, egrets, herons, and many other critters that live among the cypress trees. How beautiful is that sunset?!
