If you grew up in the Bayou State, chances are you have memories of dining at a few of these places.
With an atmosphere as good as the food, it’s no wonder why people have been dining at the Blue Dog Cafe for years. The walls are decorated with the works of the originator of the iconic Blue Dog, George Rodrigue. Mr. Strawn opened Strawn’s Eat Shop in 1944 and it has even a Shreveport tradition ever since. While the business has changed owners multiple times since it opened, one thing remains the same— they serve the best pies in the state.
