There’s a new ice cream parlor in Louisiana that’s worthy of a road trip from any corner of the state, and the way it’s made will blow your mind. Creamistry is changing the game on how ice cream is made, and the result is sinfully delicious.

Creamistry is a California-based chain that specialized in made-to-order liquid nitrogen ice cream, and we’re lucky enough to have a location in Baton Rouge.

The original location opened up in 2013, and since then, several locations have popped up across the country. The Baton Rouge spot opened up in early 2020… not the greatest time to be opening a business considering all that has happened, but they were instantly embraced by locals in the Greater Baton Rouge Area looking to beat the heat with a scoop or two of delicious ice cream.
Creamistry isn’t your average ice cream parlor.

But the results certainly make it look like any other ice cream!

You get to build your ice cream from the very beginning. First, you’ll choose your base (dairy, organic, vegan, or fruit sorbet). Then, you’ll choose one of over 30 flavors and even more toppings.
Once you’ve made all your decisions to build the perfect ice cream, then the magic happens!

The ice cream is made right before your eyes, in what looks like a magic display! When the liquid nitrogen (which has a temperature of -321° F) hits the base, it freezes so fast that ice crystals don’t have a chance to develop, which results in deliciously creamy ice cream.
