Baked potatoes are a wonderful side dish for just about any meal, but it’s time for a change. There’s a delicious BBQ joint just outside of Baton Rouge that’s taking the baked potato to new levels, giving the humble spud a chance to shine in the spotlight as the main event — and you need to try one. You’ll need to bring your appetite ‘A’ game for a giant baked potato from Cou-Yon’s in Louisiana!
When brothers Paul and Michael Mladenka opened Cou-Yon’s in 2009, they had no idea they would quickly become the go-to spot for BBQ in the Greater Baton Rouge area.
Lovingly nicknamed “Louisiana’s Best BBQ Dive,” Cou-Yon’s casual dining room is the perfect atmosphere to sink your teeth into some finger-licking-good BBQ.
Since opening their Port Allen location, they’ve expanded to take their BBQ to the streets with food trucks, including a permanent food truck on LSU’s campus.
For more information, be sure to visit their website and don’t forget to give them a follow on Facebook so you can stay up to date on the whereabouts of their food trucks, daily specials, and more. If you’ve ever tried one of the stuffed baked potatoes from Cou-Yon’s in Louisiana, let us know in the comments below!
