I think that Louisiana has some of the most beautiful country roads anywhere in America—and these are definitely some of the most beautiful. Here are some gorgeous rides that will take you through charming small towns and relaxing nature throughout the state. Enjoy!

1. LA-14 West from Kaplan to Lake Arthur

Take a drive through Cajun country in the southwestern part of the state and you will fall in love with the towns and nature here.
There are some gorgeous bridges and waterways along your drive.

On the way you'll pass White Lakes Wetlands Conservation area and Lake Arthur.
2. LA-167 to LA-13 South from Kisatchie to Eunice

Off of I-49, you can go south and end up in the heart of Acadiana.
Eunice has long been a cultural icon in the state, and is home to the Savoy Music Center.

Finish up your trip at the Mowata Store.

3. US-167 NW Through Kisatchie National Forest

On the other hand, you could go north off of 1-49 and soak up some amazing Louisiana nature. This road will take you straight through the largest national forest in the state.
4. LA-10 W from Bogalusa to Amite City

Farther east in Louisiana, LA-10 is one of the most beautiful roads around.
This area suffered damage in the most recent Louisiana flood, so it could definitely use your love.

6. LA-171 South From Mansfield to Zwolle

This trip down the far west of the state will start you in Mansfield, a historic Louisiana landmark. The original 1843 Desoto Parish courthouse is pictured here.
As you continue down the road you'll be hugging Toledo Bend along the way.
