It’s the perfect time of year to gas up the car and set forth on an adventure. Small towns make great weekend adventures the whole family can enjoy, and luckily for us, Louisiana is chock full of charmingly beautiful little towns and villages. Recently, one of our very own small towns was featured in a list of 60 Charming American Towns by Oprah Magazine, and we couldn’t agree more. If you’ve never visited Natchitoches before, you’re definitely going to want to put it on your bucket list today!
When it comes to charm, few other cities compare to Louisiana’s oldest city, Natchitoches.

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, because their Historic District spans
an impressive 33 blocks.
And we wouldn't blame you! Lucky for us, Natchitoches is one of the top bed and breakfast cities in Louisiana. You'll have endless options to choose from, but we'd recommend a stay at the famous Steel Magnolias House. That's right, the same house where they filmed the movie!
