It’s the most magical time of the year when downtown streets and community parks become an enchanted winter wonderland. We may not get snow here, but you still don’t want this holiday season to pass you by without enjoying the best Christmas lights in Louisiana. One spot we’re definitely adding to this year’s bucket list is the City Park Christmas Lights 2023. With over a million lights, it’s no wonder this dazzling display has been a Louisiana Christmas tradition for more than 30 years.

Along the Great River Road region near New Orleans, massive 20-feet-tall log towers are built by locals to light the way for Papa Noel. The most heavily concentrated towers are around Gramercy and Lutcher, and it’s a perfect road trip opportunity to see a side of Christmas in Louisiana that few non-locals ever get to see!
