Often overlooked for their neighboring big cities, small towns are often where you’ll find the most incredible hidden gems. When you’re looking for a family-friendly restaurant that’ll make you feel like you’re right at home, a small-town restaurant is the place to be. Cafe Josephine over in Sunset is an ideal spot for anyone looking to feast on incredible food in a charming little town. Hungry? Let’s take a closer look.
You’ll find Sunset off of I-49 in between Opelousas and Lafayette in St. Landry Parish.
Some might remember Cafe Josephine's original roots as Napoleon Avenue Meat Market, an old fashioned meat market and grocery store that also served breakfast and lunch. They wanted to expand their culinary horizons, and Chef Troy Bijeaux knew he wanted to create a full-service restaurant in small-town Sunset.
